Description
Produced in a formal pharmaceutical factory under strict GMP quality control standards, Pemetrexed Disodium Injection is a sterile multi-targeted antifolate antineoplastic agent. It inhibits multiple enzymes involved in purine and pyrimidine synthesis, thereby suppressing tumor cell proliferation and exerting antitumor activity.
Indications
For the treatment of malignant pleural mesothelioma and locally advanced or metastatic non-small cell lung cancer, usually in combination with cisplatin or as a single-agent maintenance therapy.
Storage
Store in a cool, dry place, protected from light and moisture. Reconstituted solution should be used promptly. Keep out of reach of children.
Warning
Prescription cytotoxic drug for intravenous use only. Must be administered under the supervision of a qualified oncologist. Contraindicated in patients with severe hypersensitivity to pemetrexed or excipients. Prophylactic folic acid and vitamin B12 supplementation is required to reduce hematologic and gastrointestinal toxicity. Use with caution in patients with renal impairment; not recommended in severe renal dysfunction.
