Description
Artemether is a semi‑synthetic artemisinin derivative. It effectively kills the asexual erythrocytic stages of malaria parasites, rapidly reduces parasite density and relieves malarial fever symptoms. This oral powder is for suspension preparation, convenient for oral administration, suitable for adult and pediatric malaria treatment.
Indications
Treatment of uncomplicated falciparum malaria
Infection of vivax malaria and other plasmodium species
First-line oral monotherapy or combined antimalarial regimen
Storage
Store in cool dry place, tightly sealed, protected from light.
Reconstituted suspension should be used within the specified time.
Keep away from children.
Warning
For oral use only.
Contraindicated in patients with hypersensitivity to artemether or artemisinin components.
Use cautiously in liver and renal dysfunction.
Common side effects: mild dizziness, gastrointestinal discomfort, headache.
Not recommended for early pregnancy unless clinically necessary.
Complete the full treatment course to avoid drug resistance and recurrence.
