Acetylcysteine Injection 1g/5mL is a sterile, aqueous solution of acetylcysteine (N-acetyl-L-cysteine) intended for intravenous administration after appropriate dilution. Each 5mL ampoule contains 1g of acetylcysteine, providing a concentration of 200mg/mL. Acetylcysteine is a derivative of the amino acid cysteine, characterized by a free sulfhydryl (-SH) group that is responsible for its key pharmacological activities.
