Description
Paracetamol (Acetaminophen) Injection is a centrally acting analgesic and antipyretic agent. It inhibits prostaglandin synthesis in the central nervous system to relieve pain and reduce fever, with mild anti-inflammatory effect.
Indications
Short-term treatment of moderate to severe acute pain
Postoperative analgesia
Fever control when oral administration is not feasible
Adjunctive antipyretic for infectious fever
Storage
Store in a cool, dry place, protected from light.
Do not freeze.
Keep out of reach of children.
Warning
For intravenous infusion / slow intravenous injection only.
Contraindicated in patients with hypersensitivity to paracetamol, severe hepatic insufficiency or active liver disease.
Avoid high doses or prolonged use to prevent hepatotoxicity.
Do not use concurrently with other paracetamol-containing products.
Use with caution in renal impairment, malnutrition, dehydration or alcohol abusers.
