Description
Bromhexine is a potent mucolytic agent. It breaks down mucopolysaccharide fibers in sputum, reduces sputum viscosity, dilutes thick secretions, and promotes ciliary movement to facilitate sputum excretion. It effectively relieves cough and airway obstruction caused by sticky phlegm.
Indications
Respiratory diseases with thick, difficult-to-expectorate sputum
Bronchitis, pneumonia, bronchiectasis and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease
Postoperative pulmonary complications and sputum retention
Adjunct treatment for respiratory tract infectious diseases
Storage
Seal tightly, store at room temperature, protected from light.

Warning
For intravenous infusion only.
Contraindicated in patients with bromhexine hypersensitivity.
Use with caution in gastric ulcer, severe hepatic and renal impairment.
Mild gastrointestinal discomfort or allergic rash may occur occasionally.
Avoid combined use with cough suppressants to prevent sputum blockage.
