Description
Tinidazole is a synthetic nitroimidazole derivative. It exerts bactericidal and protozoicidal effects by interfering with microbial DNA synthesis and replication. It presents strong activity against anaerobic bacteria, trichomonas, amoeba and giardia, with stable efficacy and low drug resistance rate.
Indications
Infections caused by anaerobic bacteria: abdominal infection, pelvic infection, respiratory tract infection, skin and soft tissue infection
Trichomoniasis, intestinal and extraintestinal amebiasis
Giardiasis
Perioperative prevention of anaerobic bacterial infection
Storage
Store in a cool dry place, sealed and protected from light.
Do not freeze.
Keep out of reach of children.
Warning
For intravenous infusion only.
Contraindicated in patients with nitroimidazole hypersensitivity, severe neurological disorders and blood system diseases.
Alcohol is strictly prohibited during medication and within 72 hours after discontinuation.
Adverse reactions may include dizziness, gastrointestinal discomfort and mild rash.
Use with caution in hepatic impairment, pregnant and lactating women.
